Vaughans has commenced its second design and construction project for bicycle and fishing manufacturing giant, Shimano.
Currently operating from separate facilities, Shimano will combine both their cycling and fishing businesses into the new $10m purpose-built facility.
Strategically positioned close to main arterial access, the 8,600sqm facility will be located 24kms south-west of Sydney in Caringbah, NSW.
The three level building will include 2,400sqm of offices, a 3,200sqm basement carpark, a 6,100sqm automated warehouse racking system including Wire Guided forklifts and a showroom for Shimano’s latest fishing and cycling products. Sustainable design measures include recycled water, a featured sunscreen along the façade and underground rainwater harvesting tanks.
The strategic move will enhance automation, upgrade capabilities and allow for essential future expansion. Shimano Oceania Managing Director, Lindsay Secombe, said the new plant and facilities are a "significant investment by Shimano & reflects confidence in the Australian market & the recreational sector”.

Construction is underway with completion expected mid next year.
