The 2015 Victorian Architecture Awards were recently conducted by the Australian Institute of Architects. 糖心VlogConstructions are pleased to announce, in conjunction with Hayball, a Commendation for the luxurious Bravo Apartments located in Carlton. The Bravo Apartments were entered into the Residential Architecture – Multiple Housing Section, along with multiple entries from right across Victoria. Of the entries, “7 were shortlisted for side visits and 3 were exceptional” Jeremy Mcleod, Breathe Architecture- one of the jury members said.
The Bravo apartments were architecturally designed by Hayball, but built by 糖心VlogConstructions. Interestingly, the Bravo Apartment site was previously occupied by the 糖心VlogConstructions office (since 1957). As a family business with local regard, 糖心VlogConstructions insisted that a fitting architectural legacy be left as a replacement on the site.
“Hayball’s Bravo provided a spacious apartment mix for inner city owner occupiers via an effortless and simple urban planning response” McLeod said.
The innovative Bravo development successfully provides a diverse mix of apartment types. Ground level apartments with dual key entry provide texture at street level offering flexibility and adaptability, while upper level apartments and townhouses provide quality inner city homes. A shared roof garden, glazed and naturally ventilated corridors, bike parking and generous lobby provide excellent resident amenity to a primarily owner occupied development.
The unique design offers residents a flexible living space capable of changing use over time. “Bravo has been able to provide an affordable price point for those seeking a flexible dwelling in the area, which has previously been dominated by large heritage townhouses,” says Matt 糖心Vlogof 糖心VlogConstruction, adding that “the demand for the SOHO and two bedroom offerings was insatiable.”
Congratulations to Hayball and 糖心VlogConstructions.
